2006 Coastal Vacations Club Convention Summary of Second Day - Afternoon Session

The Gold Seal, Comments From Several Attendees, The Wrap up, And When And Where To Show Up To Catch All This Live Again March 2007.

No, it's not a new species coming to a beach near you. The gold seal is a new recognition program introduced by the board of directors. They admit it's a work in progress, but many agree that if implemented correctly it could be a positive. What a cool idea to finally state in writing some formal policies and proceedures for Coastal members.

The Gold Seal is a program to honor and recognize leaders within Coastal's COA website system, who use all the official tools Coastal offers, as well as follow a stringent code of ethics.

Groups not using COA websites, will never be eligible for the Gold Seal, as it will only appear on COA sites, if a member qualifies, we'll tell you what the criteria are in the audio.

Groups like the Coastal Synergy Group, Wealth Builders and Call Center users can get gold seals if they use all the official Coastal tools and follow a strict code of ethics. But the seals will only show on COA websites.

What do you think of the Gold Seal program?

While it does only apply as an achievement for those using official Coastal tools, I want to stress right here that no matter what tools or systems you are using, all directors should voluntarily abide by these rules too, even if you are not recognized by a seal on a website.

Would Coastal be 100 times stronger if we all volunteered to follow this code and not confuse the market place?

Do your business the best way you can and people will join you, not because you bark like a seal, or have a Gold Seal on your site, but because of how you treat people, help people and strive to become an ambassador for this insustry.

Al Opens Up His Toolbox, Testimonials, COA And Insurance. Doug Firebaugh Gets Serious About Putting Your Phone to your Mouth and Ear.

Al Romine talks about using the tools that work for you. Variety is the spice of life and Al explains how that same variety has caused the explosive growth that allowed Coastal Vacations to expand to over 100 countries. Leaders took the bull by the horns to grow the business.

I am amazed at how many ways there are to make your business grow. I believe when asked, over 1/4 of the room said they came into Coastal because they were a lead off someone's purchased lead list! Leads are huge, but there are many traditional and non-traditional ways to get leads, and convert sales with Coastal too.

Without all the MLM headache advertising rules, the door is wide open for creative people to blow it up in a good and big way. Even if you are not creative, just try something and stay with it long enough for it to show itself proven and true.

People who are succeeding have built websites, translated literature into several languages, taught different techniques and the tiny seed that was Coastal 12 years ago is now a giant sequoia tree. But accoding to Scot, only 20% of the population has been exposed to Coastal, which means 80% is ripe for the pickings. We will never be saturated!

While Al recommends plugging into the official website for updates, he also recognizes that it is the lack of rigid policies that has allowed the entrepreneurial spirited directors to explode the business.

For the Board of Directors sake, please always.. always, plug into the official coastal tools! check em out so you know what they are and use them...

Testimonials put a face on the success stories.

Dale, who is a Coastal Leadership Council member, shared why working for someone else left him unemployed several times before Coastal.

Lynn and Renea, from the Coastal Wealth Builders team, shared their stories of how two very ordinary ladies have achieved extraordinary success in the wholesale travel business.

Hoyt Farmer was recognized for his efforts that have helped to expand Coastal Vacations over the last 19 months. Hoyt didn't have time to share all the details of how he has brought success to the masses with the revolutionary Coastal Vacations Sales Center system. His group has earned well over $1 million in commissions and he has seen his team grow to over 1300 members. It was great to see his success and the success he has helped others achieve formally recognized by the board of directors. Note: The Board does not officially recognize any one system or group over anyone else. But they do want everyone to use their official Coastal tools.

Aaron presented an overview of the COA system, including the telecenter, websites and a well received preview of the new flash movie that will be added to the COA (Communications of America) system over the next few months. (from Jeff: The new COA flash movie is rad and I loved it!)

Got health insurance? Coastal does, and members got an overview of what's available including a new diabetic program. By the way what other biz opps have insurance, not discount coverage? Not any I know of... one more reason to join Coastal if you ask me.

Doug Firebaugh takes everyone to phone school to overcome that phone phobia.

For many the telephone is the heaviest item in their house. So heavy that they have difficulty lifting it to make the calls that they know can lead to success.

Even though Dean and I use a system of a sales center... We still talk to prospects on the phone. We still call our leads. And because of it, we make more money. People who chose to not call leads can make money in our teams systems and many others.. yes... but if you put some more effort into it, calling leads will make so much more. WHY? It is about connecting relationships and bringing people through a system of tools and information!

What to say, how to say it, and the phrases that pay, Doug laid 'em out and gave many examples that even left our closer friend Hoyt mumbling.... "Dang, this cat's got some skills, I like him and think I buy some of his warez!"

Copious notes were taken, and those that transform those notes into action can't avoid increasing their profits.

Welcome aboard. Would you get on an airliner if you didn't know it's destination? Would you pack for Miami Florida, or Barrow Alaska?

Some work their Coastal Vacations business without knowing where it will take them. Having goals, writing them down and reading them every day will program your brain for success. Al explains the importance of goal setting and how it leads to goal achieving.

Scot shared some of the prospecting techniques that work for him and surprised one of his new members with $3200 cash. It was an arduous 4 month journey but he is now a Premier director with money in his pocket.

New and Improved. That often over used term really applies when we talk about the Coastal product for 2006. After a major overhaul in March that upgraded all membership levels at no extra charge, there were a few more exciting additions at all levels.

Do you know anyone who eats food and uses petroleum products? Great! A new level one benefit saves members $1000 at 20 major restaurants that include Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Starbucks and McDonalds. How about $100 in free gas with well known giants like Exxon, Texaco, BP, and Shell to name a few.

Level 1 also gets the new "Choose Your Cruise" Bahamas cruise and stay. It offers a choice of 4 days/ 3 nights, 6 days / 5 nights and 8 days / 7 nights.

Level 2 is beefed up with the 9 day / 8 night "Time For Fun Vacation" that includes a cruise and resort stays in Freeport, Orlando, and Daytona Beach. Level 2 also gets the "Cancun In Style Vacation" that offers an all inclusive upgrade for 5 days / 4 nights.

The big daddy level 3 package gets yet another all inclusive trip. This one includes Panama City. Panama and 6 other great locations for 3 days and 2 nights.

Variety is also added to level 3 with the "1000 Fantastic Locations Vacation" that includes 3 days / 2 nights lodging as well as dining certificates and rebate. Now you can go to just about ANY place in the USA, not just the top 25 touristy spots.
